Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Carmichael Weekend Admissions Hub?

The Carmichael Weekend Admissions Hub is a BAART Programs location that offers same-day intake, medical assessment, and medication-assisted treatment on Saturdays and Sundays. It is designed to help individuals start opioid use disorder treatment without waiting for weekday clinic availability.

Who can use the Carmichael Weekend Admissions Hub?

The Weekend Admissions Hub is available to adults seeking treatment for opioid use disorder, including individuals starting care for the first time, restarting treatment, or transitioning from hospitals, shelters, or community programs. Walk-ins are welcome, and referrals from local partners are accepted.

Can I start methadone or Suboxone® on the weekend?

Yes. The Carmichael Weekend Admissions Hub provides same-day medical assessments and stabilization dosing using methadone or Suboxone® when clinically appropriate. This enables patients to start treatment as soon as care is required.

Will I need to keep coming back to the weekend hub?

No. The Weekend Admissions Hub is intended for initial admissions. After intake, your care is coordinated with a local BAART or partner clinic, allowing you to continue medication and counseling closer to home during the week.
