Tannie Alexander directs nursing operations and infrastructure for opioid treatment programs across BayMark Health Services, a role that puts her over nursing practice standards at more than 100 clinics nationwide, including BAART Programs.
She has worked with patients living with substance use disorder since 2001, giving her more than 25 years of frontline and leadership nursing experience in this specialty.
Her career took root in Louisiana, where she served as a Nursing Supervisor from 2001 to 2005 before stepping into a Facility Administrator and Treatment Center Director role at an opioid treatment clinic, a position she held from 2005 to 2022, including through BayMark’s 2017 acquisition of the program.
Along the way, she has also served as a Nurse Training Manager, work that shaped her current focus on standardizing nursing practice across a large, multi-state clinic network.
Ms. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern University in Baton Rouge and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a combination that supports her dual focus on clinical quality and operational infrastructure.
