Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) in Northshore

The first aim of MAT is to address the effects of withdrawals and cravings that often lead to relapse. During the stabilization phase of your MAT treatment, daily visits to our Northshore treatment center are necessary to obtain your medication. This provides you with accountability and structure, both crucial elements of early recovery. However, as your condition improves, you may earn take-home medication. Even though this means fewer visits to our clinic, you can still take advantage of our counseling services, resources and medical supervision.
