BAART Programs caring, understanding staff is here when you are ready to make a change in your life. To begin a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program, call or email us to determine if MAT is right for you. If the individual is eligible, a comprehensive intake assessment will be scheduled as quickly as possible based on availability.

How do I know if I am eligible for a MAT Program?

Eligibility requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have photo identification
  • Can present evidence of opioid misuse or addiction
  • Agreement to adhere to program policy and procedures

What should I expect at my intake appointment?

Intake appointments usually take 2-3 hours to complete, after which a patient’s initial dose of medication is administered.

Intake appointments will include:

  • Physical examination and medical history
  • Counselor assessment with review of drug and social history
  • Referrals for additional medical and psychological services as needed
  • Urine drug screening
  • Review of program policies and procedures

What should I expect during treatment?

During the initial treatment period, the patient’s medication will be monitored and adjusted until an effective dose is reached. In addition to medication, patients in a BAART MAT program can expect:

Medical supervision and ongoing assessment with referrals for medical treatment and physician collaboration as needed.

Individual counseling focusing on meeting unique recovery goals, as well as group or family counseling in some locations.

Education on addiction, medication-assisted treatment and relapse prevention.

Information on medical issues including HIV, AIDS, Hepatitis C and other common illness associated with opioid use.

Random drug screenings, breathalyzers and other screenings as required to maintain compliance with all State and Federal regulations.

Does BAART offer guest medication?

BAART welcomes individuals who are visiting near one of our locations and are in need of guest dosing services.  Visiting patients will find our treatment facilities easy to access with a focus on quality customer service. In preparation for guest dosing, your home clinic will need to fax a signed copy of a guest dosing request form including the signature of the Medical Director or physician.

Please include in your request:

Patient's full name

Social Security Number

Driver License Number or State ID Card Number

Date of Birth

Dosing Level / Medical Status

Phase Level & Dosing Schedule

How do I pay for treatment?

Each patient is charged a daily dosing fee for services including medication and counseling. This fee will be self-pay* unless the patients qualifies for Medicaid or a grant program, or has commercial insurance coverage. Contact the nearest BAART Programs to find out your options for payment.

*Please note that personal checks are not accepted at any BAART location.
